President Obama last week announced new, wide-reaching economic sanctions on Russia in reaction to the situation in Ukraine. The restrictions cover certain major financial institutions, energy companies, Russian government leaders and eight arms manufacturers, including the Kalashnikov Concern. In a FAQ document, the Treasury Department offered guidance on AK-47s already in the U.S. that will not be affected by the new sanctions.
